Meet the A2B Aero Team:
Chief Executive Officer - Andy Bloxham
Andy started his Career at McAlpine Helicopters based out of Oxford Airport (UK) in 1997. After completing an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance Andy went on to gain a UK CAA Section L Maintenance Engineers Licence (Which he later converted to EASA Part 66). In 2006 he became Quality Manager for McAlpine Helicopters/Eurocopter UK and in 2009 completed his Degree (B Eng (Hons)) in Aircraft Engineering.
Andy left Eurocopter UK in 2010 and started A2B Aero Ltd of which initially provided Consultancy and Training Services. 2011 saw a new chapter for the company when A2B Aero achieved its first European Approval for Engineer Type Training (EASA Part 147) which was a joint venture between A2B Aero and CMAC Ltd a Company run by one of Andy’s Great Friends, Chris Watkins.
In 2012, Andy took on a new Chapter with the Employment of Andy James and a contract to manage the Airworthiness of six high end executive Helicopters. This contract saw A2B gain approval under EASA Part M and then later in 2013 a sister Company A2B Heli (Maintenance) was born gaining EASA Part 145 Approval.
In the years since A2B Aero began, Andy has grown the companies within its group, into a leading specialist in all fields of Helicopter Operation and Support. Along with the sister companies, A2B Heli (Maintenance) and London Helicopter Charters, Andy is now CEO of the group that provides: Helicopter Operation (AOC), Helicopter Management (Part M), Helicopter Maintenance (Part 145) and Engineer Training (Part 147).
Personal Assistant to the Managing Director - Tahli Morris
Tahli joined A2B Aero November 2013 . Tahli came to A2B following 4 years in France working for a luxury yacht company. In additon to Diary Management and Administration, Tahli performs customer services and finance roles.
Chief Operating Officer - Andy James
Director of Operations within A2B Aero & Heli Maintenance with leadership and oversight of the Company EASA Part M Airworthiness, Consultancy , Quality and EASA Part 147 Training departments.
In addition to EASA Form 4 Airworthiness (CAM) Postholder roles for Commercial Operators and Air Ambulances, Andy is also managing the A2B Heli Maintenance facility at Oxford Airport; supporting Private, VIP, VVIP and Utility Rotary Wing Aircraft.
Head of Consultancy - Darren Underwood
Darren joined A2B Aero September 2014 following time within the UK CAA as an Airworthiness Surveyor.
In addition to the Quality , Compliance & Safety Manager roles within the A2B Group, Darren also holds EASA Form 4, Compliance and Quality Management positions for other notable Aviation organisations.
His experience spans 30+ years in the Aviation Production, Maintenance and Airworthiness Sectors for both Fixed and Rotary Wing.
Quality Manager - Claire Knight
Claire joined A2B in June 2015 with 20 years of experience in rotary maintenance, Airworthiness and quality disciplines. Claire has extensive engineering experience across a wide range of sectors from north Sea to private and a vast selection of types.
She has a keen eye and excellent regularity knowledge and holds the posts of Quality Manager for A2B part 145 and part M approvals.
In addition Claire is deputy QM for A2B part 147.
Airworthiness Manager - Mark Lloyd Davies
Mark manages our Airworthiness department and holds the EASA Form 4 for A2B Aero. Mark has experience of working in Part M environments, specifically with Air Ambulances, Police and Utility helicopters through his previous roles at Bond Air Services (now Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore) and with Specialist Aviation Services. He also travelled throughout the world as an Aviation Consultant for Rusada, consulting to both rotary and fixed wing companies.
Deputy Airworthiness Manager - Mark Baker
Mark has 23 years’ experience in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft technician and a further 15 years’ experience in the Airworthiness field of both the Airline and General Aviation environments. As well as his role as Deputy Airworthiness Manager, Mark also carries out Airworthiness and Aircraft Maintenance Programmes reviews
Airworthiness Engineer - Steve Bloxham
Steve joined A2B Aero October 2015 and is responsible for the entry of Aircraft Utilisation into our Maintenance Tracking System; as well as control of Power By the Hour, Defect record and Physical Documentation.
Airworthiness Engineer - Jelena Vasiljeva
Jelena joined A2B Aero July 2014 and reviews all EASA, NAA & TCH Airworthiness Publications, Maintenance and Operational Data for applicability to the fleet.
Airworthiness Engineer - Gayan De Silva
Gayan joined A2B Aero August 2017 following a very varied and experienced career within the Aviation industry. Gayan's experience with VIP Organisations and Airworthiness is a great help in the department.
Airworthiness Engineer - Rino Mathew
Rino joined A2B Aero October 2017 following and is the first of our Airworthiness Engineers to be based permanently from our Brighton City Airport Base Maintenance facility. Having Rino dedictated to the southern Maintenance fleet is a huge benefit to us all.
